Stinky Pigs

So, both Kavalier and Clay are quite the little stinkers late at night. Clay is becoming more adventurous at night. This includes running around his cage like a maniac. Kavalier on the other hand is still very reserved and becomes very nervous at the sound of the rustling blankets. I can't seem to figure out why Kavalier is still so scared.
I think it is mildly amusing that the piglets have changed so much. Kavalier was deffinately the more dominant of the two upon first arrival. He was always the first one to come out and eat the fresh veggies, but it seems now that Clay is the more dominant. Clay is deffinately the first one to the food dish, and he even chases Kavalier away from the food bowl.
It's great that these guys are starting to come out of their shells a little bit, but I still worry that they aren't getting along as well as they should be. Oh well. I guess that's life.

noisey piglets

sleepy
So, Kavalier and Clay have taken to being really active late at night after I turn out the lights. Kavalier thinks it's great fun to chase Clay around the cage chattering, and then he runs over to the fresh veggie bowls. It is at this point that he starts squealing with excitement when he finds grapes. Poor Clay just hangs back and watches knowing that if he should get close to the bowl Kavalier will chase him off again.
The piglets are great. I just hope they work out their differences soon and start to settle into a normal routine.

Meet Kavalier and Clay

I'd like everyone to meet two of the cutest guinea pigs in the world. Yes I said cutest! They are also the only reason why I have a Live Journal account. Keep in mind that I have had these guinea pigs for just a couple of days. They are still adjusting to a life of attention and love.
Kavalier:

Kavalier was born on May 30, 2006. He is still quite young, but it seems like he will be more out going and lively as soon as he gets settled into his new home. He is an American Smooth coat guinea pig with black, cream, and white patches.
Clay

Clay is just one day younger than his friend Kavalier. He seems to be the more friendly of the two as well as the quieter, submissive of the two. He is a Silky Crested guinea pig with the technical color being Agouti and white. This basically translates to Brown and white, but he does have some golden flecks in his brown fur. He is really a very sweet guinea pig.
Together the two make up KAVALIER AND CLAY:
